Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout review
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a hilarious massively multiplayer game with battle royale level progression. Up to 60 players land on a large arena full of challenging obstacles and struggle through them to reach the end of the match victoriously! It’s one of the most immersive party games of the year, but is it the one for you? Let’s figure it out!
Graphics and Sound – 10/10
A popular Unity engine powers fall Guys. It provides excellent, bright visuals, while the style of character and environment design is catchy. Due to funny, clumsy character physics, the game also looks alive, although it’s so cartoony. The soundtrack makes this online mayhem even more dynamic and funny.
Controls – 10/10
The controls in fall guys are responsive and easy to master. However, the rounds are usually very challenging, so there’s no end to perfection. If you play on PC, you can use the keyboard and connect your favorite controller to have a more console-style experience. Response time and action speed are adjustable.
Gameplay – 10/10
Fall Guys gameplay involves 3D platformer features. All the arenas in the game are linear platforming challenges. To pass them, you have to jump through various obstacles and match with the timings. Given that all other 59 players try to do the same, it’s really hard to get from A to B without falling from moving constructions. Other players can push you down accidentally or intentionally. Well, you must answer them with the same behavior. Run and push everyone like it’s the last match in the game, and you have no right for a replay!
Lasting Appeal – 8/10
You can play this game with your friends online or just join the matches with random players, which is even more fun. Battle royale mechanics make you feel so competitive that you wish to play more and more rounds in a raw to win at least one of them. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t support cross-play, so you can play only with people who use the same platform as you.
Pros:
- Funny visual style
- Up to 60 players per match
- Challenging gameplay
- Great game for parties
- Easy to learn
Cons:
- Cross-play feature isn’t available
- Not interesting to lay offline
