Getcontact

Getcontact review
Getcontact is a mobile app that allows you to identify a person by phone number. It is available for free on Android and iOS and has more than 10 million downloads in Google Play with an average rating of 4.4.
Design, interface & usability: Easy to Use
The interface of Getcontact is perfect as it is not overloaded at all. The app only offers several features, and the developers did not have to overcomplicate the interface. The user experience, therefore, becomes a huge pleasure as you do not have to learn the app at all.
The basic features are not the only ones that are easy to learn. The more advanced stuff is also implemented greatly as it only appears where you need it. The main sections of the app represent different features, making it comfortable to navigate through Getcontact.
Features: Identify, Block Spam and Make Tags
Getcontact is an app you need when you receive spam calls and when you have missed calls from numbers you don’t know. The first feature of Getcontact allows you to simply identify a person by the number. You just have to copy the number to the app, and it will show the tags for that number. The tags themselves are created by other users: they either manually enter the information or upload their contact list to the app.
Another feature of Getcontact allows you to block spam calls. When enabled, it analyses incoming calls and drops the ones tagged as spam many times. It also shows the most popular tag when an unknown number is calling.
Security: Privacy Is a Concern
The privacy problem is very serious for Getcontact as some users do not want their names to show up in a publically available database. The problem is that anyone could tag you as a drug dealer or as something worse, and others will see it. You can, however, delete yourself from the database by sending a request to Getcontact.
Cons:
- Privacy is a concern
Pros:
- Block incoming spam calls
- Identify unknown callers
- The app is very easy to use
